The time has finally come and on Thursday we are off to the Kruger Park for our annual trip. We wait all Summer and Autumn for the right time to go where it is not too hot and not too cold and the game viewing is spot on! We pack our cars and we road trip all the way up (or is it down?) to the game reserve, stopping over at all the cozy farm stalls for fresh fruit and making sure we stop off for pancakes at every pancake joint along the way. The reason we like to go in winter is because it is warm in the day but freezing at night and there is nothing better than snuggling up in your tracksuit/onesie/pyjamas in the middle of the African bush listening to the animals in the distance.

Since we’re off to the African bush and because leopards are such a rare sighting and are my favourite animals, I thought I would do a super easy Leopard Print Manicure Tutorial. It is very easy to do and you don’t need any advanced nail art tools or anything too scary. All you need is a dotting tool or the end of a bobby pin. I managed to find a really cheap dotting tool from Essence at a Dischem. It is called a nail art duo stylist and it’s great!
The shades I used for this manicure are:

♥ Essie – French Affair
♥ Essie – Play Date

♥ Essie – Bahama Mama
After painting my nails with a base coat, I painted them with two coats of Essie’s French Affair. I then waited a few minutes for them to dry completely. I then took my dotting tool and dipped it into Essie’s Bahama Mama, and drew little “C” shapes on my nails. After waiting a couple of minutes for them to dry, I then dipped my dotting tool into Essie’s Play Date and drew circles in between the “C’s”. What is nice about this manicure is the leopard prints do not have to be perfect and you can choose any three shades you would like. Don’t forget to paint a top coat over 🙂

It is so easy to do, and if you don’t have a dotting tool you can use the end of a bobby pin. I know everyone has bobby pins lying around, like I do 🙂

What do you think of this manicure? I love it and it’s made me a million times more excited for our little holiday than what I already am 🙂
