Dinner at Glenda’s

the ultimate date night spot!

Ever since Glenda’s opened up, this charming restaurant has been generating a lot of buzz. It is a haven for foodies who love seasonal flavours and a menu that never ceases to amaze. This is me in a nutshell and that is why Glenda’s is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Jozi.

As you walk in you are greeted by a display of freshly baked pastries and cakes. The décor is clean and the atmosphere is buzzing. The first thing that catches your eye is the colourful tapestries, mirrored walls, marble top counters and gorgeous hot pink chairs.

Everything about this restaurant oozes chic sophistication. What I love most, is it feels like your sitting at a restaurant in New York.

Despite the decor, the food is what I’m all about. Glenda’s focus is on seasonal flavours with a constantly changing menu.

I have only ever been to Glenda’s for breakfast and lunch, but the other night we visited for dinner. The ambience was totally romantic and the food was as sublime.

This is what we ate at Glenda’s …

Starters: smoked salmon with an espresso sauce, mozzarella caprese, salt and pepper calamari

 Mains: lamb chops, fillet steak

Dessert: toffee pudding, berry tart and creme brûlée

So if you’re looking to wow your partner and treat him/her to the ultimate date night dinner, head to Glenda’s. You will both be blown away by the food, ambiance and the romance.
