It’s a really crazy world out there and the safest (and best) place to be right now is at home. As much as we love being at home, there’s one thing missing. And that’s our favourite meals from our favourite restaurants. We can spend hours in the kitchen trying to replicate that insanely delicious pasta dish from our fave Italian spot, but the end result just isn’t the same, ever! So that’s why we love Uber Eats. Their role in bringing our fave meal from our fave restaurant to our front door is unbeatable. Uber Eats makes staying home and staying safe while still supporting all our favourite restaurants so super easy.
This past Sunday we were craving our normal Sunday lunch at our local Greek restaurant, Soul Souvlaki. I opened up the Uber Eats App, clicked away, and within an hour our selection of Greek Meze was at our front door waiting to be unpacked and laid out. It was a real Sunday treat, in lockdown, to enjoy our favourite food, in the winter sunshine, like we would have at the restaurant.Â
What’s great with Uber Eats is that we are still able to support all our fave restaurants. We’re able to thank and tip the delivery guy in the app after each delivery. From now until 11 July 2021, delivery will cost you a whopping R0.00 – that’s right – delivery is free. Every day Uber Eats has restaurant specials which makes checking the app every day somewhat exciting. What I love most, especially now, is that Uber Eats deliveries are contactless so when selecting “leave at the door” on checkout, social distancing is 100% ensured! Oh, and one more, Uber Eats lets you “share this delivery” with a friend, a colleague or a loved one allowing you to send food to them and share the delivery tracking details with them. This is a wonderful idea for a virtual dinner date!Â
This is such a great initiative to help out the restaurants during the lockdown, really amazing, and I love the fact that my favorite restaurant Coco Food’s in Woodstock is on the Uber Eats App, their food really amazing and definitely a family favorite 🙂
