A Craving for Turkish Delight Cake: Tessa’s Bakery

Food

What do you do when you crave a slice of cake? But not just any cake, it has to be a slice of moist, fluffy cake and it has to have buttercream icing. When I say buttercream icing, I mean real mccoy icing made from real mccoy butter, and all you can smell is whiffs of delicious butter. None of the cream cheese icing, as that only suits carrot cake, in my opinion.

I’m currently in Cape Town, on a food finding mission, which included a cake finding mission as well. After googling high and low for the best cakes Cape Town has to offer, I came across Tessa’s Bakery, which ticked all the right boxes. I put in an order for the Turkish Delight Cake and oh.my.heavens …

A Craving for Turkish Delight Cake

The Turkish Delight Cake is not your average cake. It’s layers of vanilla cake flavoured with rose water syrup, filled with little homemade turkish delight pieces and topped with Turkish delight flavoured macaroons. It hits every spot and is honestly D E L I C I O U S!

Turkish Delight + Vanilla Cake + Buttercream Icing + Macaroons = ♥♥♥

So if you live in Cape Town, or visiting, like me, and you need a special cake for a celebration, for Christmas time, or just to casually tuck into, then pay Tessa’s Bakery a visit.

P.S. This was not a sponsored post. I simply had a craving for cake. Oh, and I also needed cake for my Admission as an Attorney celebrations here in Cape Town. I’m not one for champagne. I prefer cake!
