You know how I feel about the latest and greatest in the beauty department. It just gets me so darn excited. There have been a lot of new product launches and I couldn’t be more excited to share the ones I have been absolutely loving with you. Grab yourself a smoothie (read here) and lets chat about these new products …

DOVE PURELY PAMPERING BODY WASH

I am the most excited for this new range by Dove. Why? Because their ultra luxurious Purely Pampering range is a firm favourite of mine. So when a box of the latest offering landed on my door step, I couldn’t have been more happy. Dove have expanded this range to include two new varieties:

1. Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla, and 2. Coconut Milk with Jasmine Petals.

Each variant is pampering and indulgent, and are both a feast for the senses. The fragrances are intoxicating, but not in a bad way. Rather in a way that you want to sniff each scent for hours and hours because you cannot get enough of them. The warm vanilla gives the shea butter a comforting feel, and together it is truly delightful on the nose. The jasmine petals give the coconut milk a refreshing scent, and leaves you wanting more.

If I have to say which is my favourite scent, it would be hard to choose, but I would settle on the Coconut Milk and Jasmine Pearls. Thats because I love all things coconutty.

The formula of the body washes are thick and creamy, making them that much more luxurious. A little goes a long way as they foam up once they’re in contact with water.  Your skin is left feeling clean, hydrated and moisturised.

Tip: I like to use these as a shaving cream. It produces such a rich, creamy lather, and at the same time is moisturising and nourishing your skin.

Palmer’s FlipBalms

I don’t go anywhere without my Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick because it is simply the best (read more here), and now I don’t go anywhere without my FlipBalms! Palmer’s have now introduced new Cocoa Butter Formula FlipBalms and gosh are these fun! They’re dome shaped lip balms that flip to open and they come in three juicy flavours: Ripe Mango, Creamy Coconut and Juicy Watermelon.

The lip balms contain everything you want a lip balm to contain: pure cocoa butter, raw shea butter and vitamin E. They are also free from parabens, phthalates, petrolatum and gluten.

I am a lip balm collector and hoarder and I am so in love with these Flipbalms. They are nourishing, soothing and moisturising. They make your lips feel ultra soft and delicious.

INVISIBBOBLE

When I opened up my #RBSecretBox (more about that in this post) and saw an Invisibobble staring at me, goodness I was happy. When a lifetime supply of Invisibobble landed on my door step, I was ecstatic. Invisibobble are Gods little gifts to us girls with hair, be it long hair or short hair. And here is why …

These traceless hair ties are magical, in every way. Because they are made of artificial resin, they are water and sweat proof. They have a smooth surface which is antibacterial. They don’t leave any kinks in your hair, they don’t tug at your hair so say goodbye to those pesky headaches, and lastly, they have a strong hold thanks to their unique shape.

Invisibobble have now introduced the POWER and the NANO!

If your hair is extra voluminous and needs an extra strong hold, then the POWER is for you. Or if your hair tends to fly all over the show in an intense workout, then your hair could also do with the POWER.

On the other hand, the NANO is a micro Invisibobble. So small and teeny, but don’t forget dynamite comes in small packages. The NANO can be used as a hair tie or a bobby pin. The NANO can be used for a braided style, a casual half bun or for an updo needing a strong hold.

What? Did I just hear you go “huh?” … Take that “huh?” back now, because I put it to the test, with a side braid and a half bun, and the NANO sure does perform. I will be taking the NANO with me to the hairdresser when I have an updo done for a wedding I’m going to in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

Caribbean Tan Tinted Body Bronzer Shimmer Cream

Gone are the days of having to sit for hours in the dangerous sun to just to give your skin a bit of colour. Say hello to the new and improved Tinted Body Bronzer Shimmer Cream. The packaging of this beauty has been upgraded and the formula has been enhanced too. The cream is formulated with vitamin E and cranberry seed extract so it hydrates and protects your skin.

A few Sundays ago, it was a real scorcher. It was so so so hot. So hot you just want to stay in the pool all day. It was a day we had to be at a birthday tea and all I wanted was to wear a beautiful summers dress but I was so scared my extremely-very-pale skin would scare everyone. So I put this Shimmer Cream to the test. I thought if it comes out terribly, I can just wear a tracksuit and act feverish.

I applied it in the morning and if I tell you how perfect it looked a few hours later, I know you won’t believe me. But really, it looked like I had just returned from a week in the Seychelles. I applied a very small amount that spread nicely and gradually. It gave my skin a beautiful, subtle but glamorous shimmer. When I came home that night, I showered like normal, and it washed off with no stains left on my skin.

This is a product I will be stock piling in my bathroom for when days or nights call for a bit of shimmer.

Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturisers

I have saved the best for last!

If you are lazy, put your hands up! Both my hands are up very high, so don’t feel embarrassed.

I will admit something and please don’t judge – I do not moisturise every day because: 1. I am lazy, 2. It takes up too much time and 3. I hate that sticky feeling afterwards.

There I said it.

But this has all changed. Seriously! Thanks to the very new Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturisers, which I am obsessed with. There are 3 variants:

1. Deep Restore, 2. Aloe Fresh and 3. Cocoa Butter.

The sprays disperse a super fine mist that nourish and moisturise the skin. The mist absorbs ultra fast and you’re not left feeling sticky afterwards. These sprays are so convenient and so easy to use. And let me tell you, they work even when they’re upside down. So you can reach that part of your back thats been ignored for years 😉

Gone are the days when I don’t moisturise. With these sprays I have been moisturising as soon as I hop out the shower. It is that easy and convenient.

Now you can see why I left the best for last!

    Love the invisibobble!
I also got the Vaseline spray, but it’s not doing it for me, I still need some hardcore cream to ease my crocodile skin.

    Great post Loren!

I need to invest in those Invisibobble’s, I only have one left (lost all my previous bobbles). I also love using Dove shower gel and will definitely give the Purely pampering a try.
